What was the highlight of Hotel Kyocera
Friendly staff, good for the airport, comfortable room.
Staff were friendly, the lobby was a very comfortable place to wait in and the location for the airport was good.
An annex room requires a bit of walking from reception. The walkway to the annex is totally covered so no need to go outside but if you have a lot of luggage / mobility issues the main building might be better for a room.

What was the highlight of Hotel Kyocera
I was pleasantly amazed
Booking and arrival were well separated and I thought at one time of lodging at a business hotel for this overnight stay (and that's what I still had in mind when I arrived). Was not prepared for a wedding chapel in a vast atrium and a very long travelator in the Skyway linking the hotels two buildings. Breakfast has many options for a range of guest tastes.

What was the highlight of Hotel Kyocera
Good
The rooms are big and comfortable. The front desk was helpful arranging for 2 taxi rides to the airport (1 of them was very early). The dinner buffet was good value with lots of solid choices.
While the location is ok for the airport (it's still a 20min cab ride or so), the hotel is far from downtown Kagoshima sites like Sakurajima Ferry, Senga-en and Kagoshima-chou Station. It takes about 40mins by train (you do get nice views of Sakurajima from the ride - but it is slow) to reach the hotel area from downtown and then you need to walk about 10mins through a residential neighborhood to find it. I think if you're traveling without a car as I was, you may want to stay closer to town, unless you are visiting Kirishima or the airport.
